Dr. Bente Skattør is Project Lead and Innovation Lead for AI for Interviews at Oslo Police District. She leads one of Norway’s most recognised police innovation programmes — recognised with a Europol Innovation Award, a National Digitalisation Award nomination, and a Global Innovation Prize in Brazil. Bente is a regular contributor to international discussions on responsible AI in law enforcement. 

Kjeld Hendrik Helland-Hansen is a forensic investigator at West Police District with over 20 years of experience at crime scenes. He is co-lead on the CSI Innovation Project, which is developing hands-free documentation tools for crime scene investigation, and has presented the project to police forces across Europe. 

Oddvar Moldestad is a forensic investigator and long-standing CSI innovator at West Police District. He has been central to field-testing and expanding the headset-based documentation system, including at the Norwegian Navy crisis exercise and at a climbing-site pilot with Swiss mountain police.

This conversation is a candid look at what innovation looks like from the inside — built by practitioners, tested in the field, and shaped by a belief that technology should serve investigators, not the other way around.
